Furthermore, on 12\/28\/2016, the Company exercised this right and raised funds through a third-party allotment of new shares to GLOKA Link Corporation, a subsidiary of RIVANES Corporation.<\/span><span class=\"color_14\"><br \/>\n1. our development experience<br \/>\nBy offering \"pure meat,\" meat produced by cell culture, at a price point affordable by consumers, we aim to eliminate the environmental impact and public health risks of meat production and provide a sustainable means of supplying the world's growing demand for meat.<br \/>\nTo realize our vision, we are developing technologies to lower the cost of culture medium, which constitutes the majority of raw material costs, and to increase the scale of cell culture.<br \/>\nTo produce pure meat using conventional cell culture methods costs several million yen for 100g. To solve this problem, we have developed a technology to reduce the cost of producing pure meat to about 40,000 yen by creating a prototype of a low-cost, animal-derived component-free culture medium and a culture system that can operate this medium on a large scale using a flow process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_14\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-4857\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/techplanter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/01\/shojinmeat.png?resize=630%2C354&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" \/>2. future commercialization plans<br \/>\nThe most significant feature of our low-cost culture fluid, which contains no animal-derived ingredients, and the culture technology that enables large-scale operation of this fluid, is the ability to mass produce pure meat at a low cost.<br \/>\nAs a result of interview surveys conducted with many research institutes and businesses, we have determined that the biggest challenges in pure meat production lie in scaling up the production system and reducing the cost of raw materials, and we have worked to develop our own low-cost culture solution and reflux culture technology (patented) that can be scaled up to a large scale.<br \/>\nGoing forward, with the development funds, including the funds received from this financing, we aim to achieve price reductions and large-scale production systems in stages, with the goal of producing a prototype of cultured foie gras by the end of 2018 and bringing it to market in 2021.<br \/>\nBy 2025, we will achieve price parity with the current price of ordinary meat, and will realize a sustainable means of supply to meet the ever-increasing global demand for meat, thereby contributing to food safety around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_14\"><br \/>\n\u25a0About Our Low-Cost Cultures<br \/>\nBy replacing fetal bovine serum (FBS) contained in the current culture medium with \"FBS substitute\" made from ordinary food, this culture medium does not contain any animal-derived ingredients and is much less expensive.<br \/>\nWhen used with the patented culture system (described below), the cost of the culture solution required to produce pure meat can be reduced to less than 10 yen per liter, or 1\/10,000th of the cost of conventional systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_14\">\u25a0Our culture system<br \/>\nBy simultaneously culturing cells that emit components that promote cell proliferation and muscle cells, etc., this system greatly enhances the efficacy of the above low-cost culture medium and enables efficient production of pure meat.
