Seminar for R&D Ventures "Accelerating Sales of R&D Ventures through the Use of Insurance" [Call for Participants

Glocalink, Inc. will co-host a seminar for R&D ventures, "Accelerating Sales of R&D Ventures through the Use of Insurance," on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in conjunction with Liverness Corporation and Realtech Holdings, Inc.

However, if we switch to the viewpoint of "risk management for users," insurance can be used to boost sales of the company's products and services.

In this seminar, Mr. Tatsuya Mabe, CEO of Kenrobotech Corporation, who is actually using insurance to accelerate product and service sales, Mr. Yasuki Otsuka of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. who is planning new insurance products, and Mr. Yoshinori Sakurai of Sompo Japan Partners Inc. who is actually introducing insurance will be invited as guests. Mr. Kazuhiro Hasegawa of LIVERNESS Corporation will moderate a discussion on the merits of using insurance products for R&D ventures, how to make them, and points to note.

Mr. Tatsuya Mabe
Representative Director and CEO, Kenrobotech Co.

Born in 1976. Born in Kagawa Prefecture, he is a genuine Sanuki native who grew up eating udon as baby food. After graduating from high school, he entered a culinary school thinking it was a job where he could express himself. After graduation, he trained at several restaurants, but due to a friction with the chef, he left for a while and helped his father's construction company, Miyakojima Kogyo, in his search for his next apprenticeship. In the midst of a bankruptcy crisis, the bank imposed a change of management. As the manager, he improved the financial situation and developed the company, which is now regarded as an excellent company. He established EMO Co., Ltd. to solve various problems on site, and changed its name to Kenrobotech Co., Ltd. when Tomorobo was developed. Winner of the Grand Prize at the 2nd Kagawa Tech Plan Grand Prix.

 


Mr. Yasuki Otsuka

Manager, Section 2, Corporate Sales Department 2, Sompo Japan Insurance Inc.

Joined Sompo Japan in 1995. Currently, he is in charge of the sales department, mainly in charge of trading companies and logistics companies. He has long been engaged in domestic corporate sales and sales planning and promotion divisions. He is well versed in overseas projects, having been stationed in New York and assisting overseas infrastructure projects. With his knowledge of structuring new insurance and schemes in line with corporate needs, he aims to provide solutions that will help start-ups expand their business.

 


Mr. Yoshinori Sakurai
Manager, Head Office Sales Department, Sompo Japan Partners, Inc.

Since joining Sompo Japan, he has been consistently engaged in sales to corporations. He has experienced a wide range of companies from listed companies to start-ups, regardless of size, and has been in his current position since April 2019. While carefully understanding the needs and challenges of clients, he proposes insurance policies that match each business. Currently, he is responsible for insurance proposals for startup companies.

 


Mr. Kazuhiro Hasegawa
Executive Officer and CMO, Liverness, Inc.

He holds a master's degree in engineering from Tokyo Metropolitan University. He joined RIVERNESS in his first year of master's degree and later became the first new employee of RIVERNESS. He launched the Human Resource Development Division and became an executive officer in 2012, leading the launch of the TECHPLANTER business and real-tech fund, building case studies of collaboration between startups and local factories, opening the "Center of Garage" incubation facility, and supporting new business creation for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Concurrently, he is Executive Vice President of Realtech Holdings, Director of Glocalink Corporation, and Director of NESTiPLAB Corporation.
