Start of remote manufacturing support demonstration for overseas startups by Japanese factories using the space sharing system "tonari" in COG

(Head office: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yoshinobu Osaka; hereinafter "Glocalink"), Liverness Corporation (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CKO: Jo Inoue; hereinafter "Liverness"), Leave a Nest Singapore Pte. (headquartered in BLOCK71, Singapore; Kihoko Tokue, CEO; hereinafter "LVNS SG"), Hamano Inc. (headquartered in Sumida-ku, Tokyo; Keiichi Hamano, CEO; hereinafter "Hamano"), Center of Garage (hereinafter "COG") and LVNS SG have installed a space sharing system calledtonariUsing the "Remote Manufacturing Support Demonstration", a Japanese township factory will conduct effective discussions with a startup in Singapore to support manufacturing while in Japan.

Starting in 2019, Riverness, Inc. will be commissioned by Ota Ward, Tokyo.Demonstration experiment project to create collaboration between startups and manufacturing companiesStarting with the "MFG" project, we have been promoting manufacturing support for overseas startups together with Japanese machi-factories. In this project, the overseas startups actually visited Japanese factories and had face-to-face discussions on the basis of drawings, which enabled us to provide sufficient manufacturing support. However, due to the restrictions on overseas travel imposed by the Corona Disaster, the project was not able to provide "meetings" and further overseas expansion did not proceed as smoothly as expected.

The "tonari" space-sharing system, on the other hand, is a life-size video system that seamlessly connects two remote locations via a life-size screen without delay*. In November 2022,Connections between incubation facilities across the country in different organizations: the COG operated by Glocalink and the LVNS SG office.after an inflectable word, creates a noun phrase indicating something the speaker does not feel close toIt was first introduced for the purpose of
The delay that humans can feel is said to be 150 milliseconds, and "tonari" achieves 120 milliseconds, which is less than that.

In this remote manufacturing support demonstration, GLOKA LINK, LIVERNESS, LVNS SG, and Hamano will conduct a demonstration to see if the use of tonari, a cutting-edge technology, will enable Japanese factories to remotely "reconcile" with overseas venture companies and accept manufacturing projects from them while still in Japan. The project is to demonstrate whether Japanese factories will be able to accept manufacturing projects from overseas venture companies. The project will be conducted by using the advanced technology called "tonari" from four Japanese companies.tonariThrough the "LVNS SG", we will invite Hamano on the COG side and a Singaporean startup on the LVNS SG side, and through mutual discussions, create manufacturing projects and elaborate contracting methods for manufacturing and development to verify whether Japanese factories can become partners with Singaporean startups.

Glocalink is,Established a limited-time on-site manufacturing consultation center at Hamano Co. and COGGlocalink is a member of LVNS SG, and is conducting manufacturing consultations with startups in the COG and visitors to the COG. Glocalink, together with Hamano, will serve as the host for this demonstration as a part of this on-site manufacturing consultation center, coordinating meetings between Singaporean startups and Hamano in cooperation with LVNS SG, examining the manufacturing system on the Japanese side including Hamano, assisting in facilitating communication, providing publicity support for the activities, and providing the location and environment. Support for the facilitation of communication, publicity of the activities, provision of a venue, and environmental improvements.

There are many barriers to the overseas expansion of Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) such as machi-factories. This demonstration is expected to help remove these barriers through the use of communication tools, thereby promoting the overseas expansion of Japan's small and medium-sized factories.

Please contact us individually if you would like to cover the actual discussion site between Hamano Seisakusho and the startups, which is scheduled to take place in mid-February to early March.
