Opening of "Center of Garage," an incubation facility connecting venture companies and local factories around the world
Glocalink, Inc,April 1, 2018,We are pleased to announce the opening of Center of Garage (COG), one of Japan's largest incubation facilities specializing in manufacturing ventures, which will be jointly operated with our parent company, LIVERNESS Co. In conjunction with this, a pre-opening event and press conference will be held on March 1.
Background of the establishment of the Fat Facility
So far, LIVERNESS has been working on an acceleration program for ventures calledTECH PLANTERWe have supported many manufacturing ventures through our partnerships with the "Japan Monozukuri Venture Capital Association" and the "Real Tech Fund". Many of these ventures had long development periods and a growing number of employees with no sales growth, making it difficult for them to find a base of operations.

COG is a group of local factories that solves problems related to manufacturing around the world.superfactory groupIt is one of the largest incubation facilities specializing in manufacturing ventures in Japan, operated by LIVANES, which produces "LIVANES", and GLOKA LINK, a venture incubation company.
Business companies will participate as partners in new business creation and contribute to Japan's manufacturing platform by sending human resources who are passionate about manufacturing and new businesses. Furthermore, we will support the development of manufacturing ventures not only in Japan but also in Asia through collaboration with "Focustech Ventures", a Singaporean VC firm, and others.
The Center of Garage will be headed by Keiichi Hamano of Hamano Seisakusho Co., Ltd. who also heads the Super Factory Group. COG aims to be a center where challenging factories from all over the country gather.

Commercialization support by RIVERNESS and GLOCA-LINK
We support the social implementation of venture technology by providing commercialization support through our network of research institutes, local factories, and large companies, and our "knowledge platform," LIVERNESS, and GLOCA-LINK, which provides small-scale investment and management support.
Technical support for Super Factory Group
Support for the manufacturing aspect is provided by the Super Factory Group, a group of local factories engaged in advanced activities. Each factory and COG are constantly connected via webcam to solve manufacturing issues.
Access to research and demonstration fields in four areas
The Institute works closely with RESQUE, a proposal-based contract research service operated by RIVERNESS. With regard to the four fields of agri-bio, chemical, and manufacturing, it is possible to conduct small-scale demonstrations using the actual laboratories.
Building relationships with overseas ventures

Pitch events are held monthly
COG holds monthly pitch events by resident ventures. By inviting large corporations and business companies with close ties to Glocalink and Rivanes to these events, we promote the building of relationships between the two parties.
