(Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuhiro Hasegawa) announces that it has made an investment in 4D Sensor Corporation ("4D Sensor"), which manufactures devices that can measure the shape and strain of small electronic device components, large structures, and other objects in real time.

Moiré (interference fringes) is a periodic stripe pattern created by the mutual interference of pixels when regular patterns are superimposed on printed or digitized images.

Whereas existing technology requires an object to be stopped for several seconds to several dozen seconds in order to measure its shape and strain, 4D Sensor is a venture company that uses original research to manufacture equipment that can measure in real time. The company's technology makes it possible to instantly inspect small electronic device components to check for defects, thereby improving factory production efficiency. It will also make it possible to measure large structures such as dams and bridges more easily than with conventional methods. 4D Sensor's technology has been used in a NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) project to measure large structures.

Glocalink will invest in the company, which won the Grand Prize at the 3rd Tech Plan Grand Prix and has provided continuous support for commercialization since then.
