GLOCALINK Inc.(Headquarters: Sumida Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yoshinobu Osaka; hereinafter “Glocalink”) has,Asratec Corporation(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masato Sakaya; hereinafter “Asratec”) handled various coordination tasks and prepared the implementation environment in preparation for Asratec’s launch of a field trial of local 5G base stations and related equipment at Center of Garage (hereinafter “COG”).

Asratec is a robotics-focused company based at COG. With the planning, development, and licensing of the “V-Sido” robot control system at its core, the company also provides robot development support, consulting, and other services.

Asuratec has recently received funding from NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization), a national research and development organization, toParticipated in the development of a software development platform aimed at promoting the use of robots, which was selected for the “Post-5G Information and Communications Systems Infrastructure Strengthening R&D Project / Establishment of a Software Development Platform in the Field of Robotics”しThe company is a member of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
Glocalink cooperated with Asratec in the installation of a local 5G base station at COG—a project undertaken by Asratec as part of efforts to establish the communication infrastructure necessary for advancing research and development and demonstration experiments related to this initiative—and the company has now begun its demonstration experiments. The demonstration tests using this base station are scheduled to continue through June 2026.

Glocalink supported Asratec’s initiative by preparing the necessary environment—including providing the venue—supplying the information required for applications, coordinating with relevant parties, and assisting with construction-related matters. When conducting demonstration experiments involving construction work in a facility housing numerous companies, meticulous coordination is required to minimize disruption to other tenants. In this instance, Glocalink leveraged its expertise in facility management to handle these coordination tasks, thereby ensuring a smooth launch of the project.

COG will continue to create an environment for the implementation of manufacturing technologies and collaboration among companies to create opportunities for technologies to be implemented in society from COG.
