■ The National Knowledge-Based Manufacturing Conference is a business conference organized by Lifeness Co., Ltd. to promote collaboration and co-creation among companies. It brings together mid-sized, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as startups from across the country to pool their respective “knowledge” and “technologies” across sector and industry boundaries. Going beyond mere corporate profit, the conference aims to create new value and solve global social issues by combining each other’s strengths.

Glocalink will utilize this conference to provide business growth support to tenant companies—including those at “Center of Garage” (hereinafter “COG”), the R&D-focused venture incubation facility we operate—as well as to the companies in which we have invested.

■ Hundred Semiconductors, Inc.
Founded in 2022, this startup is based at the Center of Garage and develops “Minimal Fab,” an ultra-compact semiconductor manufacturing system. Its vision is to realize the ultimate B2C hardware experience by leveraging Minimal Fab technology to provide a diverse range of semiconductors. We provide collaborative manufacturing services that closely align with customer needs, such as rapidly developing devices using half-inch wafers.

The main conference features initiatives designed to accelerate networking across different industries and fields, such as 90-second short pitches by exhibiting companies and “booth time,” during which facilitators act as intermediaries between companies. COG tenant companies and our portfolio companies aim to leverage this conference to combine their own technologies and challenges with the technologies and knowledge of outstanding mid-sized and small businesses nationwide, thereby directly creating opportunities to build new value chains and conduct proof-of-concept experiments.
Furthermore, as Glocalink, we will continue to expand our partnerships with the organizations we support—including mid-sized and small businesses, as well as new startups—to work together to create new value that will change the world and bring these initiatives to fruition in society.
